7 Traditional Foods Sambas
7 Typical Traditional Foods Sambas are much in demand by the people of West Borneo hususnya Sambas. There are also guests who come from the Java region or the government of the Java Education Office. Sambas typical food is a lot of kinds and types, and everything is delicious. If we've tasted once, we certainly kepengen again to eat it. Usually the food is served in a thanksgiving or selamatan event. Below the authors will present seven typical foods of Sambas, though many other foods.

1. Porridge Paddas
Spicy porridge is a typical food that Sambas. The ingredients for making this spicy porridge are only vegetables, such as kale, and ferns. For the other extras are turmeric leaves, kesum leaves, lappang, beans, carrots, peanuts, anchovies, cassava or sweet potatoes, and special mumbu.
2. Serabi
Searbi made from rice flour that is made like a plate and eaten with gravy (coconut milk). Serabi is usually served at 15 days after death.
3. Ambok Porridge
Ambok porridge is a rice porridge mixed with vegetables. The vegetables are usually ferns and kale. Porridge is very tasty snack eaten in the morning with fish crackers. This porridge is served complete with chili, soy sauce, and vinegar.
4. Sop Bandong (salted cassava noodles)
Sop Mie Asin or sopong soup, nice served at noon in the office or birthday event. The ingredients to make this bandung soup are only salted noodles and cassava. Other herbs can also be loved by anchovy, fried peanuts, or sweet potatoes (kemillek).
5. Rice sticky rice (nasek lammak)
Nasi Ketan or nasek lammak (Sambas language) tasty eaten with coffee water. Usually sticky rice is sold sepeotongnya 1000 rupiah, but there are also selling it only 500 rupiahs in Sei kelambu perpotongnya.
6. Amping or Cance
Amping or Emping is made of ripe baked rice. Do not be too long roast, it can be a ratteh (retort). Amping or cance can be eaten with soup, or not. Usually amping is made after farmers have finished harvesting.
7. Fried Rice
Fried rice is a lot of its kind, there are called fried cow's eye rice, special fried rice, chicken fried rice, egg fried rice, and many other names. Which of course fried rice delicious kaoan served and wherever we are.
